Created by Angelika Seeschaaf, the quirky fixture combines a lamp, a shelf, a mirrored surface and a [wireless phone charger](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spot-on-charger). The stainless steel sheeting was manipulated with folds to take an abstract and asymmetrical shape. It presents its user with a reflector for applying makeup, a creased flap for suspending sunglasses and accessories, a ledge for setting down your keys and your wallet, and (presumably) induction technology for juicing up your handset. Who would have guessed that a nook in your foyer could have so much to offer. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 74% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Multifunctional Fixtures:** Businesses in the furniture and lighting industries can innovate by creating more products that combine multiple functions like the Corner Light. - **Space Utilization:** Designers and architects can explore innovative ways to use the space in tight areas of homes and offices, similar to how the Corner Light takes advantage of corner walls. - **Wireless Charging Integration:** Companies in the tech and home electronics industries can innovate by integrating wireless charging technology into more home fixtures and furniture like the Corner Light does. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture:** The furniture industry can create more customizable pieces that take advantage of underused spaces in homes and offices, like the Corner Light fixture. - **Lighting:** The lighting industry can create more innovative fixtures that combine multiple functions and utilize underused spaces in rooms, like the Corner Light. - **Home Electronics:** Companies in the home electronics industry can innovate by integrating wireless charging technology into more home fixtures and furniture like the Corner Light does. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multipurpose Entryway Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-charger-lamp.md) - [Two-Sided Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corner-clock.md) - [Multifunctional C-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clamp.md) - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Illuminating Home Display Pedestals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/welcome-decor-piece.md) - [Foldable Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-folding-lamp.md) - [Simplistic Angular Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-table-lamp.md) - [Storage-Friendly Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/storage-lamp.md) - [Illuminated Charger Design Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/current-concept.md)
