# Space-Saving Living Room Desks The Conceptual 'Harmony' Corner Desk Fits into Small Spaces By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2021-08-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corner-desk References: [tuvie](https://www.tuvie.com/harmony-space-saving-corner-desk-that-works-great-in-a-small-living-space/) The requirement to work from home for many professionals in 2020 had many urbanites scrambling to incorporate a workstation into their living space, which is what the conceptual 'Harmony' corner desk aims to help make easier. The workstation consists of a [compact desktop section](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/single-desk) that is large enough to fit a laptop, some books and perhaps a piece or two of decor. This is further enhanced on one end with a drawer where small essentials can easily be stowed. The conceptual 'Harmony' corner desk is the design work of Molly Haslam and would be perfect for use in [living rooms or even entryways](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twoinone-billy-model) where [conventional workstations simply would not fit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ab019-wall-desk). This would allow all space to be effectively used in multi-person households or bachelor-style suites. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Space-saving Furniture:** Small-space dwellers seek furniture designs that maximize their living environments. - **Home Office Innovations:** New solutions for home-based professionals emerge as remote work grows. - **Multi-functional Workstations:** Furniture designers look for ways to make home workspaces more than just a desk and chair. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Companies that combine aesthetics with practicality will thrive in a small-space furniture market. - **Home Design:** Architects and interior designers will continue to look for innovative ways to maximize small living spaces. - **Technology and Home Office:** As remote work becomes the norm, businesses offering virtual work solutions and ergonomic home office tech will see increased demand. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elegant Working Desk Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mindset-builtin-computer-desk.md) - [Single-Piece Construction Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nook-desk.md) - [Space-Saving Foldable Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-desk1.md) - [Minimalist Modular Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/console-desk.md) - [Sleek Storage-Packed Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threesix-desk.md) - [Functional WFH Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eleven-desk.md) - [Fold-Out WFH Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/writing-bureau.md) - [Practical Rotating Wall Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revolver-wallmounted-desk.md) - [Moveable Small Space Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humanscale-float-micro.md)
