It's finished with one of several [natural or colored stains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touch-collections), always leaving the inverted edging naked. Yes, most significantly, the right angles at which the panels should merge have been turned inside-out, creating a pronounced bevelling effect to serve as unique detailing. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Disrupted Geometric Design:** The removal of traditional right angles in furniture design presents an opportunity for innovative and unconventional geometric shapes. - **Minimalist Aesthetics:** The stripped-down connections in furniture design offer a minimalist aesthetic, providing opportunities for creating sleek and clean designs. - **Natural and Colored Stains:** The use of natural and colored stains on the stripped edges of furniture opens up possibilities for unique and customizable finishes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore new design approaches by incorporating disrupted geometric design and minimalist aesthetics in their product lines. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can embrace the minimalist aesthetic and unique finishes offered by edgeless storage systems to create modern and visually appealing spaces. - **Woodworking and Finishing:** Woodworkers and finishers can capitalize on the trend of utilizing natural and colored stains on furniture edges to offer customized and artistic wood finishes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Curvaceous Storage-Packed Sideboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/embrace-sideboard.md) - [Curved Base Plywood Sideboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-embrace-sideboard.md) - [Storage-Centric Minimal Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kurve-furniture.md) - [Hidden Compartment Metallic Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stainless-steel-furniture-set.md) - [Twisting CGI-Designed Sideboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookscrew-sideboard.md) - [Balanced Freestanding Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ratio-series.md) - [Asymmetrical Storage Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crossbred-side-table.md) - [Luxe Grooved Versatile Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cesar.md) - [Sculptural Living Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cromatica.md)
