When meditating one day, Corly realized that he was experiencing the music that was playing in a very intense fashion, gathering a lot of imagery from it. This was because he was sitting in darkness, and with his vision blinded, there was no visual stimulation to distract his listening. Soon after, the Musicmask was born. The Corly Bedacht Musicmask is made out of plastic, foam and Velcro, and it sits away from your face to let the listener open their eyes while listening. While a similar experience could be achieved by shutting your eyes, the Musicmask ensures total darkness and comfort. Take your listening to new levels with Corly Bedacht's Musicmask. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 6% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Enhanced Listening Experience:** The Musicmask disrupts traditional listening experiences by providing total darkness and eliminating visual distractions, enhancing the listener's focus on the music. - **Multisensory Meditation:** The Musicmask taps into the power of combining auditory and visual senses, taking meditation to a new level of intensity and immersion. - **Personalized Sensory Engagement:** The Musicmask allows individuals to customize their sensory experience by blocking out visual stimuli and creating a personalized listening environment. ### Who This Affects Most - **Audio Equipment:** The Musicmask presents an opportunity for audio equipment manufacturers to create innovative products that enhance the listening experience through the use of sensory deprivation techniques. - **Wellness and Meditation:** The Musicmask offers a disruptive innovation for the wellness and meditation industry, allowing practitioners to enhance their practice by incorporating immersive audio experiences in a darkened environment. - **Sleep Technology:** The Musicmask can be adapted and integrated into sleep technology products to provide individuals with a more immersive and distraction-free sleep experience, opening up opportunities for innovation in the sleep industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Soothing Smart Sleeping Masks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-smart-sleep-mask.md) - [Calming Meditation Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightvision.md) - [Enhanced Music Display Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/futureahead.md) - [Smart Low-Cost Sleep Masks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lc-dolida.md) - [Soundproof Microphone Masks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-phasma.md) - [Headband Display Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boinc-headphones.md) - [Transparent Audio CD Players](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clearframe-cd.md) - [Hybrid Camera Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/musiccam.md) - [Voice-Quieting Face Masks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/voiceabsorbing-face-mask.md)
