The different household items vary from a cork wine container (irony!), to [cork place mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polka-coffee-table), all the way to [cork chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kidou). Cork comes from a tree and has an easily shaped composition to it. These household items come in different colours which makes match a non-issue (everything couldn't just be brown). The make up of the cork allows them to last a very long time and add that eco-centric feel to your home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Eco-friendly Home Decor:** Opportunities for sustainable and recycled materials in home product lines. - **Natural Material Furniture:** Using materials such as cork for their unique durability and design opportunities. - **Customizable Home Accessories:** Providing a range of colors and styles to offer buyers endless unique decor options. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** A push towards sustainable and unique materials for home decor brands looking to stand out. - **Furniture:** Innovative design opportunities for furniture brands that utilize natural materials like cork to promote high-quality products. - **Kitchenware:** Alternative, eco-friendly options for everyday kitchen products, such as cork place mats and food containers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Versatile Cork-Producing Companies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cork-as-a-material.md) - [Sustainable Chrome Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cork-collection.md) - [Cork Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guillaume-delvigne.md) - [Eco Cork Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cork-box.md) - [Stackable Cork-Made Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-cork-seating.md) - [Sustainable Wine Cork Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sustainable-cork-products.md) - [Grainy Cork Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clover-collection-2.md) - [Cork-Made Occasional Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-tk.md) - [Sustainable Cork Desk Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/korka.md)
