The Core smartwatches have been unveiled by Core Devices from Eric Migicovsky as a modern wearable that takes inspiration from the [Pebble](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pebble-time-2) smartwatches. The wearables include the Core 2 Duo and the [Core Time 2](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/core-devices), which each run PebbleOS thanks to it being transitioned to open source by [Google](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-pixel-watch-3) who owns the operating system.

The Core 2 Duo has a 1.2-inch black and white e-paper display with a polycarbonate frame, barometer and compass within, while the Core Time 2 has a 1.5-inch 64 color e-paper display, heart rate monitor and more.

The Core smartwatches are priced starting at $149 and are available now for preorder with shipments slated to start in July. The wearables are rated to offer up to 30 days of use per charge.
