The Coquille Sofa by Markus Johansson looks like an artifact from the depths of the ocean. The [ribbed backing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ripple-sofa) and overall shape make this couch similar to a shell one might find on the beach in a tropical location.

Since this design is very simplistic and minimalist, it would suit a variety of rooms and not look too imposing. The gray color helps contribute to this, as well as the [smaller size of the couch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sander-series) too. However, just because it's simplistic does not mean it lacks character. The subtle shell-shape of the sofa makes it one-of-a-kind: something that consumers would not be able to find at a traditional furniture store.

The Coquille Sofa will help spice up any living room (or even a bedroom) and help add a nautical twist to the overall design.
