Inspired by a European spice cookie called speculoos, Brigid Calloway, BuzzBallz Director of [R&D](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baked-by-richs-cookies), came up with a cookie-inspired cocktail. “This spice cookie is ground up and made into a product that is known as 'cookie butter.' Liquid cookie butter sounded amazing to me, add a cream liquor and Cookie Nookie was born,” said Calloway. Made with real cream, the cookie-inspired cocktail is richly textured, smooth and packed with caramel flavors—and a single can packs a punch with 15% ABV. Alongside the all-new Cookie Nookie, Buzzballz announced the return of Eggnog for a limited time. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 18% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Compact Ready-to-drink Cocktails:** The release of BuzzBallz's Cookie Nookie showcases the trend of compact ready-to-drink cocktails, offering convenience and portability for consumers. - **Seasonal and Limited Edition Flavors:** BuzzBallz's introduction of Cookie Nookie, inspired by a European spice cookie, highlights the trend of seasonal and limited edition flavors in the beverage industry. - **Innovative Flavor Combinations:** Cookie Nookie's fusion of a European spice cookie and cream liquor represents the trend of innovative flavor combinations, adding uniqueness and excitement to the cocktail market. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Beverage:** The release of BuzzBallz's Cookie Nookie showcases the potential for disruptive innovation in the beverage industry, specifically in the ready-to-drink cocktail segment. - **Food:** The use of a European spice cookie as inspiration for BuzzBallz's Cookie Nookie presents a disruptive innovation opportunity in the food industry, specifically in the creation of unique flavor profiles and cross-industry collaborations. - **Alcohol:** Cookie Nookie's introduction of a cookie-inspired cocktail with 15% ABV opens up opportunities for disruptive innovation within the alcohol industry, particularly in the creation of indulgent and unique alcoholic beverages. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact Eggnog Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eggnog-cocktail.md) - [Prepackaged Eggnog Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buzzballz-chillers-eggnog.md) - [Festive Canned Martinis](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canned-martinis.md) - [Dunkable Holiday Cookies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baileys-swap-the-small-talk-pack.md) - [Collaboration Martini Cookies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/espresso-martini-cookie.md) - [Single-Serve Aromatized Wine Drinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/exclusive-buzzballz-flavors.md) - [Cookie-Flavored Liquors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bakesale.md) - [Creamy Eggnog-Infused Whiskeys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peanut-butter-whiskey-eggnog.md) - [Caramelized Biscuit Liqueurs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caramel-cookie-liqueur.md)
