Perfect for people who have [small apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabanon) but still crave design, the SmartSide Board is a cross between a [storage cabinet and a table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table). A set of four chairs conveniently slides into four top drawers and four cabinets to create one unit. Slide the chairs out and a table is created instantly. In addition, all components are completely independent of each other. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Convertible Furniture:** There's an opportunity for furniture designers to create multi-functional pieces. - **Compact Living:** Interior designers can explore space-saving solutions to meet the needs of small apartment living. - **Modular Designs:** There's a trend towards furniture that adapts to versatile living spaces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** The furniture industry can take advantage of the demand for small-space solutions. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can offer creative solutions to small apartment challenges. - **Home Improvement:** The home improvement sector can capitalise on innovation by creating space-maximising solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Adaptive Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expand-furniture.md) - [Versatile Sideboard Desk Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hideaway-swing-desk.md) - [Storage-Attached Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-chair.md) - [Expanding Three-in-One Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expandy.md) - [Compact Outdoor Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-1.md) - [Ultra-Simple Multifunctional Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chairpf.md) - [Versatile Modular Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transformer-couch-20.md) - [Sliding Grid-Affixed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/square-to-square.md) - [Reversable Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reverse.md)
