The young filmmaker, who purchased the van for an affordable price off the Internet from an electrician in Vermont, refurbished it with a full kitchen, an impressively large bed for the space, a theater and more. Even though Zach Both was working with such a confined area, he managed to make the interior of the vehicle look like an stylish apartment complex. This is done by covering up any metal with wood paneling, white curtains and chalk boards. The converted camper van is incredibly resourceful as well, utilizing solar panels on the roof to generate electricity. Zach Both offers instructions on how anyone can make their own converted camper van on his website titled the 'Vanual.' Though his instructions are informative and easy to follow, Zach Both stresses that there is no right way to do it, leading his Vanual to allow for endless possibilities. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 99% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Converted Camper Vans:** Opportunity to cater to the growing demand for custom DIY camper van conversions. - **Eco-friendly Travel:** Chance to develop sustainable solutions for off-grid living and travel in converted camper vans. - **Mobile Living Spaces:** Innovations targeting the trend of minimalist and flexible living in compact, mobile homes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Automotive:** Opportunity for automakers to collaborate and produce purpose-designed vehicles for DIY van conversions. - **Renewable Energy:** Potential for solar energy companies to optimize and expand their products to cater to the energy needs of converted camper vans. - **Home Improvement:** Opportunity for home improvement industry to create tailored van conversion products, such as modular furniture and space-saving storage solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Transforming Off-Grid Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vanspeed-evergreen-dream-2.md) - [Compact Campervan Conversion Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campervan-conversion-kit.md) - [Rental-Compatible Camper Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camper-kits.md) - [Sleek Modular Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/van-jorn.md) - [Diminutive Electric Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-camper-van.md) - [DIY Portable Electric Campers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quiet-nerd.md) - [Compact Electric Campers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-camper.md) - [Transforming Weekend Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beauer-xvan.md) - [Concept-Inspired Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/offroad-camper-van.md)
