Remodeled by architectural and design firm [Elías Rizo Arquitectos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-av), the [Casa RO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-cruda) house is all about mixing authentic vintage touches from the original house (which was originally built in the 60s) with a warm, modern feel. The owners brought in the firm to work their magic as the house was a little too cold and old-fashioned for their style, and Elías Rizo Arquitectos definitely delivered. The firm transformed the rectangular-shaped structure to a bright haven with all the right authentic touches—including the original marble flooring. The contemporary rustic house exudes an organic coziness, while still keeping harmonious with the straight lines of the original structure. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Nature-inspired Architecture:** Architects and designers could explore using organic elements and materials in their creations to create a harmonious and cozy atmosphere. - **Hybrid Design:** The combination of vintage and modern elements creates a unique design aesthetic that could influence future developments in the industry. - **Sustainable Renovations:** Using original elements and renovating homes instead of building new structures could promote sustainability in the design and construction industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture:** Architects could explore new ways to combine vintage and modern elements, using organic materials and elements to create a cozy and harmonious atmosphere. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers could incorporate the use of original elements for renovated homes to achieve a unique and cohesive design aesthetic. - **Construction:** Builders and developers could consider renovating existing structures instead of building new ones to create sustainable, energy-efficient dwellings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Seaside Home Renovation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-de-praia.md) - [Compact Cottage Revivals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rustic-renovation.md) - [Plant-Filled Home Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-c.md) - [Neighborhood House Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-cruda.md) - [Landscape-Integrated Hill Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-av.md) - [Modern Dark Tonal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/texas-residence.md) - [History-Rooted Urban Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-sofia.md) - [Stone Ruin-Transformed Spanish Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-1627.md) - [Coastal-Inspired Home Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-puerto.md)
