Assembled to an array of different depths, heights and widths, these [colorful cubbies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berto-hidden-secrets) can hold a plethora of miscellaneous possessions in just the positions you like. Professor Lapo Binazzi worked with his student Bethany Jacobsen to develop this sensationally playful shelf. Fundamentally it takes the form of an [open square frame](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelving-unit-01) that comes with a collection of bright boxes designed to fit inside. In removing the lot of them, the user can begin to rebuild the Conoscenti Shelving Unit to his own ideal arrangement, choosing portrait and landscape orientations and color juxtapositions. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Storage Systems:** The Conoscenti Shelving Unit demonstrates the potential for personalized and easily rearrangeable storage systems. - **Customizable Shelving:** The ability for users to easily rearrange the storage boxes in the Conoscenti Shelving Unit highlights the need for customizable storage solutions. - **Colorful Cubby Storage:** The bright and playful colors of the Conoscenti Shelving Unit suggest a trend towards more visually appealing storage options. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Industry:** The Conoscenti Shelving Unit could disrupt the traditional shelving market by offering an easily adjustable and customizable option. - **Home Organizing Industry:** The personalized and modular aspect of the Conoscenti Shelving Unit could have disruptive potential for traditional home organizing solutions. - **DIY Industry:** The simple and playful design of the Conoscenti Shelving Unit could inspire a trend towards DIY storage solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Flexible Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brickbox-modular-shelving.md) - [Sandbox-Like Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet1.md) - [Customizable Storage Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelved-modular-furniture.md) - [Customizable Style-Conscious Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ledoux-modular-shelf-system.md) - [Modular Contemporary Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qurv.md) - [Abstract Jigsaw-Like Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spectator-shelf.md) - [Jigsaw Puzzle-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puzzle-shelf.md) - [Colorful Modular Storage Sysem](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/center-center-storage.md) - [Versatile Office Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/combus-shelving-system.md)
