The cartoonish decor is available on Conocoto's page on Creema, which is akin to [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wood-wall-hanger) for Japan, and though the drawers have little practical use, they're certainly appealing to anyone who enjoys a goofy accessory. Conocoto's drawers simply aren't very functional, though that's not really their purpose. The drawers are very small, meaning that they can't hold much more than [a few pieces of jewelry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boxed-collection). Conocoto recommends storing "your favorite things like toothpicks or stamps". That said, the drawers could simply serve as decor for one's home or apartment without storing anything whatsoever, and they'd still be a worthwhile addition. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Adorable Storage Drawers:** The rise of decorative storage options presents opportunities for artists and crafters to create quirky and unique products for the home decor market. - **Small Storage Solutions:** There is a growing demand for small, multi-functional storage solutions that can fit in compact living spaces like apartments and tiny homes, creating potential for innovative designs and materials. - **Escapism Home Decor:** The use of cute and whimsical home decor items like Conocoto's drawers is indicative of a trend towards escapism and a desire for lightheartedness and playfulness in everyday life. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can take advantage of the increasing desire for unique and quirky decorative storage options to create a wider range of products that appeal to a broader spectrum of customers. - **Artisan Crafts:** The rise of platforms such as Creema creates a wider market for independent artisans to sell their handmade and unique products, offering the opportunity for growth for niche creative industries such as woodworking and ceramics. - **Green Furniture Design:** The trend towards small, space-saving storage solutions creates an opportunity for furniture designers to create environmentally-friendly and sustainable products using eco-friendly materials and production methods. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Apartment-Inspired Drawer Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apt-drawers.md) - [Quirky Trinket Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mystic-box.md) - [Storage Box-Transformed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chunks-and-blocks.md) - [Sandbox-Like Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet1.md) - [Adorable Luxurious Storage Compartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-storage-compartment.md) - [Compact Steel Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multidrawer.md) - [Whimsical Storage Baskets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-mushroom-woven-basket.md) - [Perplexingly Angular Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tadashi-side-table.md) - [Playful Storage Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berto-hidden-secrets.md)
