Crafted from a [wood slab](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/e15), the [countertop sink vanity](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archiplan-compact-basin-collection) is paired with a black steel drain to add a dramatic touch, which is inset into the rectangular basin for a more modern finish. The unit has also been outfitted with a small planter section on the opposite side to house small succulents or other greenery. The 'CONE INVI' washbasin is the design work of Germany-based Tischlerei Paul Neumann, GmbH and is the winner of the 2018 Red Dot Design Award. The design speaks to the need for dedicated [naturalistic finishes for the home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/riva-collection) as consumers seek to bring a touch of the natural world indoors.
