The team of designers, artists and hackers that came together to create this quality product were striving to develop a luxurious screen protector that would integrate a super-slim add-on device. Alexandre Echasseriau's product includes a dimpled leather panel that can be folded out from its protective placement. Serving to prop the handheld device upright, the Inko provides the user with a full QWERTY keyboard with softly indented letters for tactility. In order to keep the electronic components as compact, lightweight and flexible as possible, a tattoo machine was used to print the circuitry for a conductive ink keyboard. This technology can certainly be implemented more creatively within these sorts of products. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 92% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Conductive Ink Keyboards:** Using conductive ink to print circuitry on keyboards offers a sleek and flexible solution for integrating keyboards into protective cases. - **Luxurious Screen Protectors:** Developing high-quality, stylish screen protectors with additional features opens up opportunities for innovative and premium accessories for handheld devices. - **Tactile QWERTY Keyboards:** Designing keyboards with softly indented letters provides users with a tactile typing experience on their portable devices. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Technology Accessories:** The technology accessories industry can explore the integration of conductive ink keyboards as a premium offering for tablet cases and screen protectors. - **Fashion-tech:** The emerging fashion-tech sector can leverage conductive ink technology to create high-end leather accessories with integrated functionality for handheld devices. - **Printed Electronics:** The printed electronics industry can utilize conductive ink keyboard technology to advance the development of flexible, lightweight, and customizable electronic components for various applications. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Connected Display Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reetle-smartink-i.md) - [All-in-One Tablet Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skfp-combo-keyboard.md) - [Sleek Tablet Productivity Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mokibo-fusion-keyboard-2.md) - [AI Button-Customized Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/incase-compact-ergonomic-keyboard.md) - [Productive Laptop-Like Tablet Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-combo-touch.md) - [E-Ink Display Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xcool-inkplay.md) - [Multitouch OLED Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glyph-keyboard.md) - [E Ink-Integrated Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reink-case-c1.md) - [Intelligent Touchscreen Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keygo-touchscreen-keyboard.md)
