# Bold Prophylactic Lamps The Condom Light Dandles Delicately with a Subtly Dirty Demeanor By Amelia Roblin | Published 2015-01-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/condom-light References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2015/01/15/totally-phallic-totally-phun/) & [kdomazidlibydli.cz](http://kdomazidlibydli.cz/news) I wonder how long it would take house guests to recognize the sexual reference behind these Condom Lights -- if they pause to consider them at all. Looking a little bit like colorful test tubes at first, these [pendant lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-glow-light) contribute delicate but vivid detail to a room, exclusive of their [hints of suggestiveness](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inside-shop). KDOMAZIDLIBYDLI of Prague produces these fairly elegant-looking items from [glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa), forming them to take the unnatural shapes of perfectly cylindrical rubbers, complete with tiny hollowed tips. Pronounced rims will remind the observer of rolled material, which is one of the visual giveaways of these pieces. Color choices of clear, red and yellow don't take away or add to the similarity between the contraceptive accessories. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Sexual-inspiration Home Decor:** Innovative designers can explore the creation of home decor items inspired by sexual innuendos. - **Playful Test Tube Lighting:** Opportunity for lighting manufacturers to experiment with playful designs such as test tubes that mimic household objects. - **Cylindrical Lighting Designs:** Designers can look at creating cylindrical lighting designs inspired by everyday objects to add a playful and unique touch to homes and public spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Lighting Industry:** Opportunity for the lighting industry to create unique designs that push the boundaries of traditional lighting aesthetics. - **Home Decor Industry:** Innovative designers can explore the creation of household items inspired by sexual references and innuendos to add a unique touch to home decor. - **Glassware Industry:** Glassware manufacturers have the opportunity to experiment with playful designs that mimic everyday objects and add a unique element to homes and public spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Quirky Common Item Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-lamp-lighter.md) - [Oversized Pen Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bic-lamp.md) - [Dreamlike Bubble-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airshape-lamp.md) - [Face Mask-Made Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anonymlux-lamp.md) - [Human Physio-Themed Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dif-lamp.md) - [Bubble-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubbles-lighting-design.md) - [Conical Crossed Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cross-pendant-lamp.md) - [Pasta-Inspired Curvaceous Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic-lamp.md)
