This furniture is made from a concrete block with a seat hollowed out. Concrete Things are also adorned with a grid pattern which was inspired by paving. While Concrete Things may seem like a heavy unnecessary thing it is actually quite practical. It is durable against the elements and can withstand the usual vandalism and theft attempts. Concrete Things will be shown at CODEO9 as part of Copenhagen Design Week, which begins tomorrow. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Durable Concrete Furniture:** Opportunity for innovative brands to create stylish and long-lasting furniture using concrete. - **Practical Design Solutions:** Potential for designers to create functional and low-maintenance furniture using concrete materials. - **Resilient Outdoor Furniture:** Chance for companies to produce weather-resistant and vandal-proof furniture using concrete. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture:** The furniture industry has an opportunity to explore concrete as a material for creating durable and practical designs. - **Design:** The design industry can incorporate concrete into their products to provide solutions that are both visually appealing and functional. - **Outdoor Living:** In the outdoor living industry, concrete furniture offers the potential for long-lasting and low-maintenance options for customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Contrasting Element Concrete Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conecto-modular-stool.md) - [Concrete Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ancora.md) - [Industrial Strength Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intra-side-table.md) - [3D-Printed Concrete Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chair-none.md) - [Reused Skyscraper Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aged-form-line.md) - [Durable Designer Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/r24-collection.md) - [Styrofoam Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trashy.md) - [Sturdy Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-cement-decor.md) - [Chic Stone Fragment Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skrivo-for-miniforms-pinto.md)
