Nori’s collection plays with shape; for instance, he has constructed some eye-catching geometric and origami-inspired plates. Soup in a round bowl? Boring! If you’re hosting a dinner party and want to take your decoration to the next level, definitely give these plates a try; they manage to be simultaneously simplistic and striking. Far from being high maintenance, this line is entirely [machine-washable](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gcode-flatware) for your convenience. Beyond the layered, multifaceted shapes, Nori differentiates the line from other tableware with his choice of material – concrete. The cool gray of the concrete really pairs well with the geometric designs and solidifies the [minimalistic aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-glassware) of the line. Finally, the line is extremely cohesive, with all the pieces (which are stackable and joinable) complementing one another. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Minimalistic Concrete Home Decor:** Designing minimalistic home decor out of concrete material to achieve a unique aesthetic. - **Geometric Tableware Design:** Incorporating geometric shapes and origami-inspired designs in tableware for a visually stunning dining experience. - **Machine-washable Tableware:** Developing machine-washable tableware for convenience and practical purposes. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Concrete tableware can be expanded to home decor such as wall accents, lighting fixtures, and furniture pieces. - **Hospitality:** Restaurants and hotels can incorporate geometric tableware design to elevate dining experiences for guests. - **Manufacturing:** Investing in technology and innovation to develop more sustainable and easier-to-maintain materials that can be used in tableware production. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Walnut Shell-Created Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nos.md) - [Innovative Ceramic Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-tableware1.md) - [Sculptural Ceramic Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office-of-tangible-spaces.md) - [Playful Concrete Wash Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kast-wave-collection.md) - [Elegant Porcelain Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porcelain-tableware.md) - [Chic Stone Fragment Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skrivo-for-miniforms-pinto.md) - [Revived Mid-Century Serveware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tortugaware.md) - [Clay-Covered Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-kasane-33-clay-table.md) - [Modern Tableware Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trasa-home.md)
