# Orbed Concrete Planters 'Piedra Luna' Features an Iron Base and a Large Circular Pot By Ell Smith | Published 2017-09-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concrete-plant References: [behance.net](https://www.behance.net/gallery/55823215/Piedra-luna?tracking_source=curated_galleries_list) & [diamantinaylaperla.co](http://www.diamantinaylaperla.co/) 'Piedra Luna' is a gorgeous concrete planter that combines natural greenery with industrial living, offering the modern homeowner a decor item that serves a function without compromising aesthetic. Typically, the standard design of flower pots aim to subtly blend into the background of a home to highlight the plant it carries, a concept that this product rejects. This particular pot demands attention through featuring a [tall iron base](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flor-de-bronce) and large circular concrete planter. Although it could serve as a [sculptural, standalone addition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tilt-planter) to a home, Piedra Luna beautifully complements the plant it carries. The industrial design of the product creates a stark contrast between the planter and the holder that would complement the interior of any modern home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 93% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Industrial-style Planters:** There is an opportunity to capitalize on the growing demand for unique and stylish plant holders with an industrial-style design. - **Functional Decor:** Combining function and aesthetics in decor items such as planters can be a disruptive innovation opportunity. - **Circular Concrete Planters:** Offering circular concrete planters with unique design features can be a trend with potential for growth and disruption in the market. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can innovate by offering unique planters that serve both a functional and aesthetic purpose, with an emphasis on industrial design. - **Gardening:** The gardening industry can capitalize on the demand for stylish, modern planters by offering products such as circular concrete planters with unique features and materials. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate industrial-style planters in their designs to create a striking contrast with natural greenery and add a modern touch to any space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Chic Staggered Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/staggered-planters.md) - [Oversized Colorful Dynamic Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tfm.md) - [Naturalistic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apot-selfwatering-planter.md) - [Illusory Planter Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rooted-planter.md) - [Concrete Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ancora.md) - [Sturdy Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-cement-decor.md) - [Floral-Inspired Concrete Fire Pits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunflower-fire-pit.md) - [Futuristic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-klaustrafloria.md) - [Office-Space Luscious Planets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bisley.md)
