Inspiration from this lovely little light fixture came from [old-fashioned forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joe-colombo), yet the finished product is perfectly fresh and contemporary. The beautiful balance of bygone design with modern style and [natural shapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loops-lamp) produces an object that's very easy on the eyes. Observe this [table lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/juba-tl1-table-lamp) for a moment -- does it remind you of anything? The form of an incandescent lightbulb seems to be represented, in an enlarged and simplified manner. The frosted cover is soft to see, and so is the ashen base of smoothly blended cement. The only accent to the Concrete Lamp is the switch that you'll notice on the front. A basic gold dial emphasizes that fuss-free is functional and delightful. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Minimalist Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for companies to create sleek and fuss-free lighting designs. - **Industrial-chic Design:** Opportunity for companies to combine natural and industrial elements to create harmonious and visually appealing products. - **Retro-inspired Decor:** Opportunity for companies to draw inspiration from bygone eras and incorporate nostalgic designs into modern decor. ### Where This Applies - **Lighting:** Companies in the lighting industry can explore minimalist designs and incorporate natural materials for a unique and contemporary aesthetic. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to incorporate industrial-chic design elements to create visually striking and trendsetting products. - **Furniture:** Companies in the furniture industry can capitalize on the trend of retro-inspired decor by creating furniture pieces that evoke nostalgia and blend vintage elements with modern styles. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Brutalist Bedside Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vestige-lamp.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Minimal Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/takeout-lamp.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Minimalist Tech Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delite-20.md) - [Sculptural Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp.md) - [Retro-Tinged Compact Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lari-mini.md) - [Simplistic Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bellevue-lamp.md) - [Illuminating Stone-Made Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nau-design.md)
