Incorporating a design that fits seamlessly into the wall, the unit features a digital display on the bottom portion that will change according to the functionality that it is using. This includes displaying a fire when it's heating, a frosty landscape when cooling, a desert when dehumidifying and water droplets when humidifying. The conceptual 'Concealed' Air Conditioner is the design work of Chen Guangyu and Liu Jiachi of Gree Electric Appliances Inc., and is the winner of the Red Dot Design Award for 2017. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Streamlined Air Conditioning:** The trend of incorporating air conditioning units with seamless design elements into the home to maintain a streamlined aesthetic. - **Functional and Aesthetic Displays:** The trend of integrating digital displays into air conditioning units that change according to the unit's functionality, providing both functionality and visual appeal. - **Innovative HVAC Designs:** The trend of developing innovative heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) designs that prioritize both comfort and aesthetics. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Appliances:** The home appliances industry can capitalize on the trend of incorporating streamlined air conditioning units that seamlessly blend into the home decor. - **Home Improvement:** The home improvement industry can leverage the trend of functional and aesthetic displays in air conditioning units, offering consumers more visually appealing options for their homes. - **HVAC Manufacturing:** The HVAC manufacturing industry can seize the opportunity presented by the trend of innovative HVAC designs, creating cutting-edge products that cater to consumers' demands for both comfort and design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artful Air Conditioners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-artcool-gallery.md) - [Space-Conscious Window AC Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comfyair-window-air-conditioner.md) - [Sleek Aesthetic Air Conditioners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mijia-air-conditioner.md) - [Artful Multifunctional AC Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artcool.md) - [Artistic Minimalism Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aeroview-air-purifier.md) - [Disguised Minimalist Dehumidifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-clock.md) - [Sleek Air Conditioning Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emura.md) - [Targeted Cooling AC Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-artcool-ai-air.md) - [Design-Conscious Space Heaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-heater.md)
