# Smokestack Factory-Inspired Routers In Je Lee Designs the Complex 1 as a Wi-Fi Router Concept By Amy Duong | Published 2024-11-05 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/complex-1 References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2024/11/04/blocky-wi-fi-router-concept-is-inspired-by-smokestacks-factory/) In Je Lee designed the Complex 1 device, which is a [wi-fi router concept](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rtbe58u) with a unique structure. The design is inspired by a unique influence -- a factory smokestack. The designer explains that just like how the chimney of the factory diffuses smoke, the antenna of the route spreads out the Wi-Fi signal throughout the space. Rather than using the traditional slim antennas that are often on regular routers, this variation looks like a [Lego](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-charger-platform) piece. It has a square body with two cylinders on the side reflecting an asymmetrical antenna. It comes in a bright yellow color so that it works as a bold piece of decor -- there is also a clock on it to serve another purpose.
