The geometric structure stands out against its mountainous landscape with a heavy volume resembling a precious gem. Located in southern Austria, the building is home to municipal administration offices, the city's fire department, a music rehearsal venue and an event center. The site, made up of three volumes, is designed to reflect its surrounding topography. Each of these three areas are purposefully situated, even though appearing to be scattered at first glance. The Community Hall Abfaltersbach features a [fibre and cement facade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lakehouse) construction showcased in a slew of colors. This exterior application gives the contemporary structure a [stone-like texture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drifting-stones), mirroring its surrounding geography. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Geometric Gem Structures:** Innovative use of fibres gives buildings a unique polygonal structure. - **Futuristic Architecture:** Modern structures with stone-like exteriors in geometric shapes are gaining popularity. - **Functional Building Design:** Multi-purpose buildings that cater to a variety of needs are becoming more common. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Construction:** The architectural industry can explore designing more functional and aesthetically pleasing buildings using innovative materials and shapes. - **Municipal Services:** Municipal services can benefit from multi-purpose buildings designed for a variety of uses. - **Event Planning and Management:** Multi-purpose event centers can benefit the event planning industry by providing more versatile spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Scandinavian Stone Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mountain-chamber.md) - [Nature-Rooted Family Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haus-am-lagnesberg.md) - [Sculptural Facade Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fractal-facade-house.md) - [Cuboidal Primary School Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bernardo-bader-architekten.md) - [Geometric Structural Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c-house.md) - [Public Pavilion Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tess-pavilion.md) - [Geometric African Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/great-primary-shapes.md) - [Residential Mountain Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/avber-house.md) - [Geometric Cave-Like Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cavelike-homes.md)
