This particular commercial drone is dubbed the Falcon 8+, and features a [water-resistant structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-neo-2) to evade rainy days, not to mention an Intel chipset-powered computer that is designed to help the drone execute highly complicated flight routes, with drone pilots also able to make use of a joystick to step in and control the flight path. This commercial drone offers a lot of potential for industrial inspection applications thanks to its ability to accurately stay true to convoluted and detailed flight maps. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Water-resistant Drones:** The trend of water-resistant drones offers potential for disruptive innovation in industries such as agriculture, oil and gas, and search and rescue, where drones can operate in challenging weather conditions. - **Industrial Mapping Drones:** The trend of industrial mapping drones presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in industries such as construction, infrastructure development, and urban planning, where drones can efficiently and accurately map large areas. - **Intel-powered Drones:** The trend of Intel-powered drones opens up possibilities for disruptive innovation in industries such as logistics, transportation, and delivery, where drones can be equipped with advanced computing power for improved navigation and autonomous flight. ### Where This Applies - **Agriculture:** The agriculture industry can benefit from water-resistant drones that can operate in various weather conditions to monitor crops, assess irrigation needs, and detect pests or diseases. - **Oil and Gas:** The oil and gas industry can utilize water-resistant drones for inspecting offshore facilities, pipelines, and tankers, improving safety and efficiency in operations. - **Search and Rescue:** The search and rescue industry can leverage water-resistant drones to perform aerial searches in challenging weather conditions, enhancing the effectiveness and speed of rescue operations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Autonomous Commercial-Ready Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fixar-007.md) - [Lightweight Waterproof Drone Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoverair-aqua.md) - [Enterprise-Ready Drone Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-matrice-400.md) - [Waterproof Self-Flying Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoverair-aqua-drone.md) - [Carbon-Caged Mapping Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mapping-drone.md) - [Industrial-Grade Drone Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-industrial-drone.md) - [Foldable All-Weather Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matrice-30.md) - [Hazardous Weather-Ready Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tf-g1.md) - [Extreme-Heat Firefighting Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firedrone-by-empa.md)
