The wedding of Felicia and Joe features everything that would make for the perfect geeky wedding. Although the bride did sport a [gorgeous Vera Wang wedding gown](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-launderette-of-love), this seems to be about the only traditional element to the wedding. Rather than flowers, Felicia walked down the aisle with a bouquet made from paper comic books. The groom was outfitted in a [full white Power Rangers suit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-sentai-burger), and the reception included plenty of nerdy nostalgic elements like Perlers, glow sticks, Lord of the Rings cupcakes and a cake that looked like Bilbo Baggins' Shire. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 92% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Romance](https://www.trendhunter.com/romance) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Nerdy Weddings:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create unique wedding experiences that cater to the interests of geek culture. - **Comic Book-inspired Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop products and services that help couples incorporate comic book themes into their wedding decorations. - **Nostalgic Nuptials:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Offer wedding packages that tap into nostalgic elements from different eras to create memorable experiences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Wedding Planning:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Utilize technology and customization to revolutionize the wedding planning industry. - **Event Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine technology and creative design to offer unique event decor solutions. - **Geek Culture Merchandise:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create and market wedding-themed merchandise that caters to the interests of geek culture. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wedding Crasher Weddings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wedding-crasher-wedding.md) - [Hybrid Wedding Planning Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/power-couple.md) - [Vegas-Themed Wedding Packages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegasthemed-wedding-package.md) - [Metaverse Wedding Ceremonies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metaverse-wedding.md) - [Modern Regency Wedding Stationery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bridgerton-x-the-knot.md) - [Villainous Bridal Gowns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allure-bridals-disney-bridal-gowns.md) - [Fast-Food Metaverse Ceremonies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taco-bell-wedding-1.md) - [Wedding Pizza Promotions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pizza-hut-6.md) - [Pop-Up Outdoor Weddings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chaco-wedding.md)
