Designed by Paulo Kobylka this sofa resembles multiple slabs of concrete piled upon each other. This sofa however is not concrete and is in fact a comfortable place to sit and lay down. The off-set design on the sofa provides room for storage and shelves for books, magazines and blankets. The appearance of this sofa resembles a [concrete sculpture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ancora) you would find in the heart of a city. It looks as if it were originally designed to sit in the downtown core as a decorative bench. Instead, the design is used for a [masterful sofa](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biboni-sofa) and brings an interesting appeal to your interior. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Concrete Furniture:** Opportunity for innovative designs that challenge the traditional perception of furniture materials. - **Deceptive Design:** Potential for creating visually stunning and functional furniture pieces that defy expectations. - **Multipurpose Furniture:** Room for creating furniture with built-in storage and shelves for added functionality and convenience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Potential for incorporating unique and unconventional furniture designs into residential and commercial spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Opportunity to explore new materials and production techniques to create innovative and visually striking furniture pieces. - **Home Decor:** Space to offer customers unconventional and conversation-starting furniture options that add aesthetic value to their homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stacked Brick-Like Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-brick-modular-sofa.md) - [Built-In Storage Cozy Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cask-sofa.md) - [Architectural Library Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reading-nooks.md) - [Flexible Landscape-Like Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airberg-sofa-collection.md) - [Contrasting Element Concrete Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conecto-modular-stool.md) - [Brutalist Concrete Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brute-furniture-concept.md) - [Organically Shaped Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repose-sofa.md) - [Snowfall-Inspired Sofa Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snowhouse-sofa.md) - [Stacked Pebble-Like Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/figure-sofa-and-lounge-chair.md)
