The [Colour Platters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/montana-furniture) are a set of serving trays for the contemporary home. Although the shape is beautifully simple, the pastel colors and geometric lines add some eye-popping details that transform the trays from minimalist to mesmerizing. The patterns were created by a high-tech printing method. The clean lines and fresh appeal help to keep the focus on what's ultimately important--the food.

Created by Scholten & Baijings, an industrial design studio based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the Colour Platters are made out of chestnut wood. It is appropriate, then, that they were created for [Karimoku New Standard](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hug-chair-1), Japan's leading manufacturer of [wooden furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-serving-board). Available in sets of three, the Colour Platters come in different sizes. They also come in two colorways and grid patterns: Sun and sand.
