The idea behind this product was to create a lamp that takes up significantly less space, and its redesigned structure resembles the [contour and silhouette](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape-lamp) of a standard light fixture. The body of the lamp has been constructed around the light bulb, which makes the main focal point of the object the light bulb itself. The frame surrounding the bulb has an extremely [thin and simple design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-lighting-design), so we focus on the function of the lamp. This chic lamp is available online at [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archflex-desk-lamp) for $100, and it would make the perfect gift for anyone living in a small apartment or bedroom that needs to conserve some space! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 77% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Minimalist Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing lamps with a minimalistic approach to focus on the function of the lamp. - **Transformative Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating lamps that transform lighting by redesigning the structure to emphasize the light bulb as the main focal point. - **Space-saving Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing lamps that take up significantly less space to cater to small apartments and bedrooms. ### Where This Applies - **Lighting Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Redesigning lighting fixtures to follow a minimalist approach and create transformative lighting experiences. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating space-saving lighting solutions into interior design concepts for small living spaces. - **E-commerce:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Expanding online marketplaces like Etsy to offer unique and space-saving lighting options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimal Aesthetic Light Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-light.md) - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Metal Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape.md) - [Retro-Tinged Compact Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lari-mini.md) - [Weighted Multi-Position Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-desk-lamp-design.md) - [Modern Affordable Wall Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poplight-wall-light.md) - [Simplistic Angular Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-table-lamp.md) - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md) - [Stunningly Minimalist Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-lighting-design.md)
