These LED artworks cleverly create [optical illusions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-flow) with their reflections. Kotter’s LED installations turn light into eye-catching artworks. One of Kotter’s pieces features a series of florescent bulbs, which look like beams of light shooting out from within a tilted glass box. Another of these works features a bunch of beautiful [dangling lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suspended-lighting-installation), hanging inside of what looks like a little glass house. Many of Kotter’s pieces feature brightly colored lights that grab attention. A handful of his light artworks incorporate purple bulbs, greens and blues. This hypnotic exhibit is called ‘Luminescence.’ It was created with the hopes that viewers would be forced to consider space. Kotter’s installations create tunnels and paths of light for viewers to walk through and admire. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 84% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **LED Art Installations:** Opportunity for artists to create immersive and visually stunning experiences using LED lights in their installations. - **Optical Illusion Art:** Potential for artists to experiment with creating optical illusions through their artworks, capturing viewers' attention and engaging their senses. - **Interactive Light Installations:** Growing trend of creating interactive art installations that allow viewers to engage and explore the artwork using light and space. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can leverage these trends to create unique and captivating art installations that push boundaries and redefine traditional art forms. - **Event and Exhibition:** Event organizers and exhibition curators can incorporate these trends into their shows to create memorable and immersive experiences for attendees. - **Architecture and Interior Design:** Architects and interior designers can explore incorporating luminescent art installations into their designs, adding a touch of creativity and visual interest to spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Immersive Light Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Stunningly Intricate Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-of-light.md) - [Lightning-Inspired Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bright-light-shining.md) - [Intricate Lighting Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/objects-of-common-interest1.md) - [Ethereal Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peter-kovacsy.md) - [Suspended Lighting Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suspended-lighting-installation.md) - [Neon Illuminated Christmas Trees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fluorescence.md) - [Unique Interactive Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-aurora.md)
