# Luminous Dark-Glow Cables The ‘Color Cables’ Add Some Color to Your Gadgets & Devices By Rahul Kalvapalle | Published 2014-03-24 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/color-cables References: [facebook](https://www.facebook.com/ColorCables) & [indiegogo](http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/color-cables-glow-in-the-dark-charge-sync-cables) Color Cables are an attempt to turn the boring cables and wires that our everyday lives revolve around into stylish, personal show-off pieces. Typical cables pretty much charge your device and do little else. They often can’t handle much wear-and-tear, they aren’t long enough and they look like every other cable, making them difficult to find in the dark or in a tangled clump of cables. Color Cables come in a range of colors that glow in the dark, making them visually appealing and easy to find and identify. They’re also built to be extra tough and have a stiff design that makes them tangle-proof. The cables come in Lightning, 30 pin and Micro USB versions making them usable with a wide variety of devices. The makers of the Color Cables are looking to raise funds for their project using the crowdfunding website [Indiegogo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/supercalla-cable). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Colorful Charging Cables:** The trend of creating visually appealing charging cables that stand out and are easy to find in a cluttered environment. - **Durable and Tangle-proof Cables:** The trend of developing cables that are built to withstand wear-and-tear and are designed to prevent tangling. - **Glow-in-the-dark Technology:** The trend of incorporating glow-in-the-dark features into various products, enhancing visibility and aesthetic appeal. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Consumer Electronics:** Opportunity for manufacturers in the consumer electronics industry to offer innovative charging cables that provide both functionality and visual appeal. - **Crowdfunding Platforms:** Opportunity for crowdfunding platforms to attract creators of unique charging cables and other innovative products seeking financial support. - **Design and Manufacturing:** Opportunity for design and manufacturing industries to collaborate and produce visually appealing, durable, and tangle-proof charging cables. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Chromatically Accented Audio Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-cables.md) - [Transparent Phone Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nothing-1.md) - [Real-Time Monitoring Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chipofy-cable.md) - [Animated Charging Cable Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pill-people.md) - [Multipurpose Magnetic Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/supercalla-cable.md) - [Premium Magnetic Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-pro.md) - [Magnetic Charging Innovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-pro-cable.md) - [Glow-in-the-Dark Device Skins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dbrand-circuit-board.md) - [Glow-in-the-Dark Device Skins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ddbrand-circuit-board.md)
