The app, created by [Microsoft](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haleon-and-microsoft), uses a smartphone camera to [adjust colors in images](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorixor) and correct for colorblindness. Color Binoculars has settings for the various [kinds of colorblindness](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accessibility-color), and it can correct for each of them. For instance, one of the most common types of colorblindness is red/green colorblindness, in which people have trouble distinguishing between those two colors. Color Binoculars will brighten reds and darken greens to make them more easily identifiable. Further, it will alter hues along these same line, turning red berries among green leaves pink to make them stand out more. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 10% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Multimedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/multimedia) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Colorblindness Correcting Apps:** Explore opportunities to develop innovative apps that correct colorblindness and enhance visual experiences for people with color vision deficiency. - **Image Color Correction Technology:** Investigate the potential for developing advanced image color correction technologies that can be integrated into various applications and devices to improve color perception for individuals with colorblindness. - **Accessibility and Inclusivity in Technology:** Embrace the growing demand for inclusive technologies by developing products and services that address the needs of users with different abilities, such as colorblindness. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Technology:** The technology industry can seize the disruptive innovation opportunities presented by colorblindness correcting apps to create more inclusive digital experiences and improve accessibility for users. - **Healthcare:** The healthcare industry can explore collaborations with technology companies to leverage colorblindness correcting apps as a tool for improving patient experience and facilitating accurate diagnosis in visual assessments. - **Design and Fashion:** The design and fashion industry can incorporate colorblindness correcting technologies in their products and services to ensure visually appealing experiences for individuals with color vision deficiency. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Color Blindness-Detecting Children's Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/color-blindness-detection-book.md) - [Color Vision Accessibility TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seecolors-mode.md) - [Ocular Disease-Detecting Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clearly-vision.md) - [Color Blindness-Exclusive Billboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accessibility-adapter.md) - [Color Blind Tapestries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chromarama.md) - [In-Park Colorblind Viewfinders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorblind-viewfinders.md) - [Color Capture Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huntercolor.md) - [Inclusive Colorblind-Accessible Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mattel-1.md) - [Accessible Eye Health Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eye-health-app.md)
