A [beautifully crafted cabinet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weaver-cabinet) that can showcase treasures while also keeping them safe, Jeremy Zietz' cabinet is a great design. The long thin cabinet has a swivelling rounded door that can be opened when showing off the finds to friends. When closed, the cabinet becomes a place for safe-keeping, appearing to be a [wooden sculpture hung against the wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vesper-collection). Made from brass and American Ash, the shelving unit has an organic look, naturally finding a home in any room. The overall design of the Collectors Cabinet resembles a boat, with a hull-shaped door, it represents the traveling that was done to find these precious gems. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 49% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Keepsake-holding Furniture:** The trend of keepsake-holding furniture allows travelers to display and store their cherished mementos in a stylish and functional way. - **Multi-purpose Cabinets:** The rise of multi-purpose cabinets provides an opportunity for designers to create furniture that can both showcase and protect valuable items. - **Traveler-centered Design:** Designing furniture specifically for travelers opens up innovative possibilities for creating storage solutions that meet their unique needs and preferences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The furniture manufacturing industry can explore and capitalize on the demand for keepsake-holding cabinets by creating innovative designs that cater to the needs of travelers. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can provide a range of stylish and aesthetically pleasing keepsake-holding cabinets that blend seamlessly with different interior design styles. - **Travel Accessories:** The travel accessories industry has an opportunity to collaborate with furniture designers to create storage solutions that are specifically tailored to the needs of travelers collecting keepsakes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Thoughtful Wheeling Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabinet-on-wheels.md) - [Minimal Four-Legged Wooden Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/exposure-cabinet.md) - [Modern Glass Cabinet Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-glass-collection.md) - [Forest-Inspired Wooden Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hayashi-cabinet.md) - [Cabinet-Concealed Modern Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/obelisk-3.md) - [Stylish Oakwood Storage Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moose-cabinet.md) - [EDC Knife Display Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holme-hadfield-knife-deck.md) - [Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet.md) - [Japanese-Inspired Cabinet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/veil-cabinets.md)
