With this in mind, the Collection Contre by Caroline Gomez takes advantage of such sturdy structural support, demonstrating little need for a full set of footings. La Console, l'Étagère (the shelf) and le Chevet (the bedside table) make up the delightful [slanted series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tong-side-table) which comprise of two, one and two [weight-bearing legs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plus-collection-1) respectively. The outward-angled posts make it impossible for the pieces to topple forward, permitting them to rest steadily in contact with the wall. According to the designer, no hardware is needed to fix the precarious-looking objects in place unless the mural behind them is not flat. Cleverly storing books and assorted trinkets, the [beautiful beech wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collective-collection) Collection Contre by Caroline Gomez is both functional and fun. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Leaning Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative designs for furniture that leans against walls, providing a unique aesthetic and space-saving solution. - **Sturdy Structural Support:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new materials and construction techniques to create furniture that relies on sturdy structural support rather than traditional footings. - **Functional and Fun Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create furniture designs that not only serve their functional purpose but also bring an element of fun and joy to the user experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Rethink traditional furniture design principles and explore unconventional concepts such as leaning furniture to cater to the changing needs and preferences of consumers. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate leaning furniture into interior design strategies to create unique and visually appealing spaces that optimize functionality and utilize space efficiently. - **Woodworking and Construction:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new woodworking and construction techniques to create stable and secure leaning furniture designs, allowing for more creative and versatile possibilities in furniture manufacturing. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bookcase-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/low-wall-side-table.md) - [Modular Beam-Themed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beam-collection.md) - [Abstract Jigsaw-Like Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spectator-shelf.md) - [Stealthy Home Furnishing Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/credo-collection.md) - [Salvaged Timber Furniture Capsule](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formwork-collection.md) - [Beech Wooden Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silva-collection.md) - [Playful Geometric Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-co.md) - [Compact Functional Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table.md) - [Wall-Mounted Two-Legged Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instable-side-table.md)
