The installation, titled 'Flux,' combines architectural structures, new technologies, and 48 beams of light to create a synchronized performance of light patterns that react to music. Unpredictable by design, the light show responds to rhythm, bouncing between moments of repetition and chaotic states. In this sense, the installation gives viewers the feeling that piece is alive and breathing. In addition, viewers are provided the ability to [interact directly with the piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phenomena) via a controller, making it all the more personal and lifelike. The 1.5 meter long light beams, when coupled with "micro variations of phases, time delays, speeds, and amplitude," create a structure that is always "evolving," says Collectif Scale. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Kinetic Light Installations:** Opportunities for creative designs using light and technology that react to audio inputs. - **Interactive Art Installations:** Opportunities for personalizing art installations using controllers and direct interaction. - **Dynamic Light Patterns:** Opportunities for designing light patterns that are unpredictable and alive, creating more interesting and engaging experiences. ### Where This Applies - **Event Production:** Businesses can explore using kinetic light installations to add a unique and dynamic element to events such as concerts, festivals, and parties. - **Interior Design:** Businesses can explore using interactive art installations in immersive environments such as museums, retail spaces, and restaurants. - **Architecture and Construction:** Businesses can integrate dynamic light patterns into architectural structures and buildings to create a visually striking and engaging space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Urban Soundscape Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-installation.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Unique Interactive Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-aurora.md) - [Immersive Light Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Suspended Lighting Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suspended-lighting-installation.md) - [Emotional Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miror-collection.md) - [Stunningly Intricate Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-of-light.md) - [Reactive Party Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightboks.md) - [Intricate Lighting Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/objects-of-common-interest1.md)
