COIR is a mobile cart and public space, crafted from tropical coconuts, that was put together by students and professors from the International Program in Design and Architecture at [Chulalongkorn University](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antichoke-mug) in the Thai capital Bangkok. A team of 16 students, led by professors Cheryl Wing-Zi Wong and Dev Harlan, put together the project to explore [tropical coconuts' versatility](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-based-pork).

The COIR food cart was designed with the objective of maintaining a closed-loop sustainable cycle while producing zero waste.

In its compressed state, the COIR stall can be used to move goods through urban streets. Its extended state expands into a long table, and its stools and chairs can be pulled out. The cart also contains two shading devices that can shield from sun and rain alike.
