Designer Matthias Lange likes to come up with designs that creatively integrate misfortunes and daily usage wears & tears into the design itself.

According to Matthias, the CMKY tableware “converts failures and adversities that happen in everyday life into a poetic moment.”

How does it do that? The [tableware pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office-of-tangible-spaces) come with a [colored ceramic filling](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olivier-van-herpt-1) under the outside white glaze. So when the piece eventually [breaks or cracks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kintsugi-collection), the color appears, converting an unfortunate moment into a new design for the piece.
