Reopened by Ome Dezin and spatial designer Willett, the renovation honors the dwelling’s original bones while introducing a refined architectural language. Natural materials like Douglas fir and black flagstone ground the interiors, while expanded sliders and linear flows tighten the link between inside and out. Sunlight filters through thoughtfully placed skylights, animating surfaces and fostering a [tactile sense of calm](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/echo-park-hillhouse) that echoes the local landscape. Furniture pieces by Willett, including staple silhouettes and new works from his Early Works series, are integrated into the architecture, emphasizing human scale and comfort. Custom built-ins, vintage selections, and sculptural forms blend seamlessly with the home’s spatial rhythm. Designed as an emotional landscape rather than a static shell, the CM G1 House balances memory and modernity, creating a place where everyday rituals feel both timeless and deeply felt.
