The studio’s founder, Marieke Kums, notes the convenience factor by saying, “Our aim was to design an environment at the Salone in Milan that would accommodate people’s needs for social interaction and information exchange during this week long design fair.” In terms of design, the table is constructed out of poplar wood and steel, in a fluid shape that Kums describes as “sensual.” Indeed, the table looks almost as thought it’s floating, living up to its name. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Wireless Charging Furniture:** Designing furniture that integrates wireless charging technology. - **Iot-enabled Furniture:** Incorporating IoT capabilities into furniture design for added functionality and convenience. - **Smart Home Furniture:** Creating furniture that is seamlessly integrated with the smart home ecosystem. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore the integration of smart technology into their designs for added convenience and functionality. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can consider incorporating wireless charging furniture into their projects to enhance the user experience and convenience. - **Technology:** Technology companies can partner with furniture manufacturers to develop integrated solutions for the connected home. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Tech-Charging Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adap-table.md) - [Intelligent Wireless Charging Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carousel-series.md) - [Tech-Packed Bedroom Nightstands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-bedside-table.md) - [Desk-Compatible Wireless Charger Pads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/invisible-charger.md) - [Cloud-Inspired Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-tables1.md) - [Wireless Charging Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freepower.md) - [Kitchen Counter Wireless Charging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freepower-1.md) - [Artistic Tech-Charging Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/combi-table-lamp.md) - [Magnetic Charging Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spot-on-charger.md)
