# Organic Sky Illuminators Jeremy Wintrebert Cloud Lights are Sculptural and Visually Striking By Jana Pijak | Published 2014-07-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-lights References: [mocoloco](http://mocoloco.com/vote/cloud-lights-by-jeremy-wintrebert/) & [jeremyglass](http://www.jeremyglass.com/) Despite of their resemblance to paper, these cloud lights by Jeremy Wintrebert are surprisingly made of [large blown glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comet-pendant). These organically shaped and dreamlike illuminators are described as both solid and fragile and can be compared to natural plant forms and [cloud formations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evening-sky). “The extraordinary size of the works and their beautiful patterns surprise viewers, many who expect them to be made from paper, textile or plastic", says Gallery FUMI. Resembling organic forms, the light fixtures double as [pieces of sculptural art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-lighting-designs) when hung. Jeremy Wintrebert was born in Paris, raised in Africa and is now based in the US. The designer looks to diverse cultures for inspiration when creating his works that are made through glass blowing, a craft he perfected by travelling the world. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Blown Glass Sculptures:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new techniques and materials to create unique blown glass sculptures. - **Organic Lighting Fixtures:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine organic forms and lighting technology to create visually striking illuminators. - **Nature-inspired Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate natural plant forms and cloud formations into artistic creations. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Sculpture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce unconventional materials and techniques to push the boundaries of traditional art and sculpture. - **Lighting and Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design and manufacture lighting fixtures that double as sculptural art for unique and visually captivating interior decor. - **Glass Blowing and Craftsmanship:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore global cultures and traditional glass blowing techniques to create innovative glass art and sculptures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Futuristic Totemic Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-relics.md) - [3D-Printed Cloud-Like Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightmass-2025-pendants.md) - [Dreamlike Bubble-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airshape-lamp.md) - [Geometric Bar-Like Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/empyrean.md) - [Artistic Shadow Play Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frero-tala-asa.md) - [Mouth-Blown Glass Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-pendant-light.md) - [Translucent Bulbous Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-glow-light.md) - [Glowing Tubular Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/array-lighting.md)
