# Cute Cumulus Illuminators Cloud Lamps by Gabi Malacha Bring Lighthearted Delight to the Room By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-11-30 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-lamps-by-gabi-malacha References: [industrialdesignserved](http://www.industrialdesignserved.com/gallery/Cloud-lamps-Cooperation-Marta-Wajda/1495797) Many would prefer a bright sunny day to an overcast one, but there's something quite lovely about the big fluffy white clouds that float through the delightful blue sky. These Cloud Lamps by Gabi Malacha embody that same billowing charm, sculpted to mimic the round puffy contours of atmospheric condensation in an adorable iconic way. The collection includes three different models of lamps in two sizes. The larger make great floor lamps while the smaller, with its stubby stilts, can be placed upon the bedside table. Each piece is constructed of a hard translucent material which diffuses the glow of internal lightbulbs to make the entire object glow. Cloud Lamps by Gabi Malacha have been conceived in a white, a pink and a red, casting a warm radiance throughout a child's charming bedroom. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Cloud-shaped Lamps:** The trend of cloud-shaped lamps presents an opportunity for designers to create whimsical and lighthearted lighting fixtures. - **Translucent Materials:** The use of translucent materials in lamp designs opens up opportunities for creating unique and diffused lighting effects. - **Child-friendly Lighting:** The demand for child-friendly lighting solutions provides an opportunity for innovative designs that blend functionality and aesthetics. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can leverage the trend of cloud-shaped lamps to offer whimsical lighting options for customers. - **Lighting Fixtures:** The lighting fixtures industry can explore the use of translucent materials to create visually intriguing and artistically appealing products. - **Children's Furniture:** The children's furniture industry can tap into the demand for child-friendly lighting by incorporating playful lighting solutions into their designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dreamlike Bubble-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airshape-lamp.md) - [Ice Cream-Resembling Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-serve-lamp.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Umbrella-Resembling Playful Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rain-man-lamp.md) - [Air Balloon-Inspired Lamp Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-balloon-lamp.md) - [Bulbous Whimsical Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic.md) - [Colorful 3D-Printed Portable Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-soft-serve-lamp.md) - [Soft Comfort Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-lamp.md)
