The system appears as a [sofa and a slatted wood backsplash](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aria-fabric-sleeper-sofa) when not in use to provide inhabitants with a place to relax during the day. When it's time for bed, the unit can be set to lower the large bed overtop of the couch to have it act as a headrest. The Ori Living Cloud Bed Sofa Edition is focused on a [modular design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybla) that doesn't have any permanently attached components to make it as easy as possible to disassemble when moving. The bed can be lowered or raised at the touch of a button or can even be set up for use with a [voice assistant](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleep-eight-pod-5). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 99% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Design:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Explore ways to apply modular design principles to other furniture and household items to maximize space and functionality. - **Smart Home Integration:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Develop smart home features that enable voice control and automation for furniture and living systems. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Create versatile furniture pieces that can transform from one function to another to optimize space and enhance user experience. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Incorporate advanced technologies, such as robotics and automation, in the manufacturing process to create innovative and customizable furniture solutions. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Explore design concepts that integrate space-saving features and transformable furniture to meet the needs of compact living spaces. - **Smart Home Technology:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Develop new home automation solutions specifically designed to control and optimize multi-functional furniture systems like the Ori Living Cloud Bed Sofa Edition. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Motorized Sofa Wall Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tonale.md) - [Hidden Murphy Bed Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tonale-murphy-bed.md) - [Smart Home Space-Saving Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nova-collection.md) - [Adaptive Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expand-furniture.md) - [Overhead Storage Single Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otto-cobbo-bed.md) - [Versatile Sofa-Bed Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neptune-sofa.md) - [Sliding Desk-Equipped Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boomerang-bed.md) - [Versatile Modular Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transformer-couch-20.md) - [Modular Inflatable Furniture Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transforming-sofa.md)
