Designed by Park Chanju, the 'Playtime' unit incorporates an analog clock along with a Bluetooth audio player, which makes it a piece of equipment that is nearly indiscernible as a traditional speaker. This acknowledges the shift with technology to favor designs that let it be incorporated into a space without having the traditional aesthetics of sounds systems, computers and the like. The 'Playtime' hybrid clock audio system also displays the song playback progress on the clock face for a more intriguing interface design that is more discreet than speakers with traditional displays. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Oversized Audio Systems:** Opportunities for designing audio equipment with oversized, ornate aesthetics. - **Discreet Speaker Designs:** Creating speaker designs that can blend in with a space instead of standing out. - **Integration of Analog and Digital Features:** Incorporating traditional analog features, such as a clock, with digital functions like Bluetooth audio playback. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Creating functional decor with unique features, like clock audio players. - **Audio Technology:** Developing innovative audio equipment that has a hybrid design. - **Technology Design:** Designing technology products with more discreet aesthetics that can blend in with their surroundings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stylish Low-Tech Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-sound.md) - [Desktop Display Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minitoo-retro-pc-style.md) - [Digital Audio Speaker Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibrary-digital-lp-player.md) - [Retrofuturistic Streaming Audio Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-streaming-audio-player.md) - [Aesthetically Pleasing CD Players](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-cd-player.md) - [Digital Personality Alarm Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alarm-oclock.md) - [Retro Smartphone Music Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartphone-music-player.md) - [Futuristic Old-Fashioned Phonographs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/re-retro-player.md) - [Modernized Vintage-Inspired Alarm Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roberts-ortus-5.md)
