The building itself dates back to the 18th century, hence, the rearrangement and use of space are deemed to be "surprisingly modern." i29 create an [ultra-minimalist space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edge-of-calm) that plays with color, lines and shapes. The clean-cut interior design is so impeccably curated that the elements complement each other with an almost inhuman precision. Studio i29 uses just the right amount of color in the symmetrically pastel-nuanced palette of the tea salon, creating a lasting impact through contrast. The creative decisions and the inspiration from modernity cause the revamped museum to be an intensive experience not only through artifacts but through design as well. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Clean-cut Interior Design:** The trend of clean-cut interior design focuses on creating minimalist spaces with precise color palettes and symmetrical lines, offering an intense experience for visitors. - **Surprisingly Modern Spaces:** Creating surprisingly modern spaces by renovating historic buildings with contemporary design elements can provide a unique and memorable experience for visitors. - **Impeccable Curated Design:** The trend of impeccable curated design involves carefully selecting elements that complement each other with precision, resulting in visually stunning spaces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Museums:** Museums can leverage the trend of clean-cut interior design to enhance their exhibits and create immersive experiences for visitors. - **Architecture:** The architecture industry can explore the trend of renovating historic buildings with modern design elements to create innovative and visually striking spaces. - **Interior Design:** The trend of impeccable curated design provides opportunities for the interior design industry to create stunning and aesthetically pleasing spaces for various applications. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Color-Blocked Contemporary Museums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mkg.md) - [Decorative Ceramic Office Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fiandre.md) - [Vibrant Museum Foyer Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/museum-foyer.md) - [Hotel-Inspired Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amsterdam-zuid.md) - [Museum-Nestled Tokyo Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/museum-tower-kyobashi.md) - [Contemporary Material Exhibition Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/material-exhibition-space.md) - [Ultra-Slick Modern Apartment Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-apartment-interior.md) - [Minimal Material Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marcela-cure.md) - [Immersive Artful Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oveneck-33.md)
