It has a translucent bottom so light travels through it, casting color on your floor. The wide, round edges with gold trim make it a smooth, soothing piece and it's also safe around children. Designed by Sebastian Herkner, the shape of the base is like an upside-down cup or vase. The Bell Tables come in [different colors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables) so you can choose one that compliments each room's decor. The designer unexpectedly uses the fragile, lightweight material of glass for the base, and the sturdy-looking metal for the top. This gives the table the illusion that it's hovering. With its [mesmerizing reflective surfaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-collection) and uniquely placed materials, it adds a distinctive touch to your living space. Each table is handmade, so each one is unique from the others. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.5/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Translucent Furniture:** Opportunity to disrupt the furniture industry by incorporating translucent materials into furniture design. - **Combining Fragile and Sturdy Materials:** Opportunity to innovate by using unconventional materials in furniture design. - **Handmade Furniture:** Opportunity to disrupt the mass-produced furniture industry by providing personalized, unique handmade furniture. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture:** Innovative furniture designs can be created using translucent materials and unconventional material combinations. - **Home Decor:** Translucent furniture can be used as a new trend in home decor. - **Art/design:** Handmade, unique furniture designs can be created and sold as works of art/design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Shimmering Oceanic Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-table.md) - [Frosted Light Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zen-collection-1.md) - [Acrylic Multicolor Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucid-side-tables.md) - [Crystalline Gem-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-coffee-tables.md) - [Optical-Illusion Home Decor Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sevval-kalaycikli.md) - [Blurred Bold Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blur-coffee-table.md) - [Simplistic Glass Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/simoon-collection.md) - [Luxury Transparent Game Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/effetto-71-ping-pong-table.md) - [Structural Blown Glass Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lokum-collection.md)
