# Clamp Couch Frames The Beau Fixe Sofas Are Held Together by Pinching Metal Structures By Amelia Roblin | Published 2015-01-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clamp-couch-frame References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2015/01/21/inga-sempe-beau-fixe-seating-ligne-roset-imm-cologne-2015/) & [ligne-roset](http://www.ligne-roset.com/Countries/NorthAmerica-NA/UNITEDSTATES-US/Default.aspx) Unique clamp couch frames were developed by [Inga Sempé](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabine-mirror) as a fresh and creative way to consider furniture assembly. The structures of the pieces within the Beau Fixe collection rely on visible metal braces that actually clutch the folding upholstery of the big, comfy cushions. Made for [Ligne Roset](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taru-collection), the loveseat, the armchair and the footstool have remarkably slimline designs, considering that the bulk of each object appears to be a plushy bolster. The pillows are packed into generous fabric covers, enabling connected sections to be folded into seams of excess material. It's these areas that are pinched by the brackets of the clamp couch frames. This honest and sophisticated design appeals to upmarket consumers who appreciate seeing how an object was put together. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Clamp Couch Frames:** Clamp couch frames offer a fresh and creative approach to furniture assembly, providing an opportunity for innovative designs and enhanced aesthetics. - **Visible Metal Braces:** The use of visible metal braces in furniture structures introduces a unique design element and opens up possibilities for distinctive and eye-catching pieces. - **Slimline Designs:** The development of slimline designs for couch frames allows for space-saving and versatile furniture options, presenting an opportunity for improved functionality and convenience. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore the use of clamp couch frames to create innovative and visually appealing products that cater to the preferences of upmarket consumers. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate visible metal braces into their designs, offering clients a distinctive and modern aesthetic that stands out in any space. - **Home Decor Retail:** Home decor retailers can capitalize on the demand for slimline couch designs by offering a variety of space-saving furniture options that appeal to consumers looking for both style and functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Structural Beanbag Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brace-lounge.md) - [Sandwich-Inspired Sofa Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burger-sofa.md) - [Ultra-Comfy Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushy-lounge-chair.md) - [Elegant Simplistic Sofa Seatings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taru-collection.md) - [Ribbed-Cushioned Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/note-design.md) - [Architect-Inspired Sculptural Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jean-nouvel-11.md) - [Compact Collapsing Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acordion-modular-sofa.md) - [Enveloping Sofa Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perron-pillo.md) - [Bungee Cord Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tcord-chair.md)
