# Grapevine-Like Lighting Grappa by Claesson Koivisto Rune Looks Like Hanging Fruit By Jamie Danielle Munro | Published 2014-04-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/claesson-koivisto-rune References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2014/04/17/grappa-by-claesson-koivisto-rune-for-wonderglass/) & [claessonkoivistorune.se](http://www.claessonkoivistorune.se/) Grappa by Claesson Koivisto Rune looks like a grapevine, and was commissioned by Wonderglass. The chandelier comes in two separate colors, red and white, and gives off a glowing aesthetic when turned on. To stick to this grape-like look, each ball on the lighting vine is a different size, considering this type of fruit isn't always completely symmetrical. For the materials, a see-through glass was used along with LED lighting on the inside, giving the chandelier its glowing qualities. Using one of these lights on its own might look slightly out of place, so purchasing three or more could be your best bet for configuring the illuminators at home. Putting up ten or more can even make an interesting circular shape, turning the lights into a grand chandelier. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Grapevine-like Lighting:** Opportunities for creating unique lighting designs inspired by natural shapes and materials. - **Asymmetrical Design:** Utilizing asymmetry in designs to create a more organic and natural feel. - **LED Lighting:** Incorporating LED lighting in designs to achieve a modern and energy-efficient aesthetic. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Innovative lighting options for home decor. - **Hospitality:** Creating unique lighting designs for hotels and restaurants that reflect natural elements. - **Event Planning:** Opportunities to create stunning lighting designs for special events like weddings and galas. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Plant-Inspired Dynamic Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossom-chandelier.md) - [Sculptural Contemporary Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volant.md) - [Dynamic Hand-Blown Glass Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polaris.md) - [Dynamic Artful Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghost-chandelier.md) - [Blown Glass-Inspired Lighting Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luisa-collection.md) - [Matte White Dynamic Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2097-chandelier.md) - [Candy-Colored Glass Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wave-ii.md) - [Mouth-Blown Glass Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-pendant-light.md) - [Metal-Glass Intuitive Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salsa-chandelier.md)
