Trends expert and innovation keynote speaker Jeremy Gutsche recently sat down with the host of CityTV's Breakfast Television to discuss the top trends of 2014. As the founder and CEO of, the world's largest and most popular trend-tracking site, Jeremy has an unmatched skill for recognizing the next big thing.

For 2014, Jeremy pinpoints experimental tourism, live crowdsourcing and virtual pop-up shops as the trends to look out for.

When it comes to booking a hotel, consumers are no longer looking for an affordable room with a comfortable bed; consumers today want to experience something new, exciting and inspiring. The Cake Hotel in London is the perfect example. Guests can book a room decorated entirely with edible cake -- they can even bathe in a confection-created bath while eating cake flowers. Another example is the growing popularity of beer spas that create relaxing beer-focused experiences.

Jeremy also identifies virtual pop-up shops as an emerging trend. The subway supermarket in Korea is an example of how consumers can access products through their smartphones in remote locations and have them delivered to their doorstep.
