# Cloudy Living Room Couches The Ultra Cozy Cirrus Sofa Brings Cloud Nine Down to Ground Level By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-01-28 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cirrus-sofa References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2013/01/28/daydream-in-the-clouds/) & [dizajno.eu](http://dizajno.eu/en/dizajnove-sedacky/59-cirrus.html) Your head can nearly truly be "in the clouds" when you're lounging about on the Cirrus Sofa. In inviting you to consider its unconventional form, the sky-inspired piece of furniture evokes the imagination of the sitter. Lubo Majer designed the contemporary chesterfield for Dizajno, presenting a piece that promises comfort and an eye-catching aesthetic. Because of the full-bodied character of this object, it might best suit an otherwise minimalist interior theme. It comes in your forecast white and seems to light up with painted walls that offer a blue or black backdrop. The billowy form of the Cirrus Sofa was made with soft upholstery, PUR foam, a spring system and a sturdy OSB frame. It won't float away either; the high-quality manufacturing ensures lifetime durability. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Cloud-inspired Furniture:** Designing furniture with cloud-like forms and motifs creates a unique and whimsical aesthetic that appeals to consumers' imagination. - **Minimalist Interior Design:** The Cirrus Sofa's full-bodied character complements minimalist interior themes, providing a striking focal point while maintaining a clean and uncluttered look. - **Durable and Comfortable Sofas:** Using high-quality materials and construction techniques, like the Cirrus Sofa's sturdy OSB frame and spring system, ensures long-lasting durability and exceptional comfort for consumers. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Incorporating cloud-inspired forms and motifs into furniture design offers an opportunity to create unique and visually captivating pieces that stand out in the market. - **Interior Design:** The minimalist interior design industry can benefit from the introduction of statement pieces like the Cirrus Sofa, which adds an element of whimsy while maintaining a clean aesthetic. - **Home Furnishings:** Manufacturers and retailers in the home furnishings industry can capitalize on the demand for durable and comfortable sofas like the Cirrus Sofa, offering consumers long-lasting and cozy seating options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Family-Friendly Modular Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rubik-v-cloud-modular-couch.md) - [Plush Sculptural Lounge Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rokko.md) - [Cloud-Inspired Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-tables1.md) - [Illusory Floating Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-soft-sofa.md) - [Snowfall-Inspired Sofa Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snowhouse-sofa.md) - [Flexible Landscape-Like Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airberg-sofa-collection.md) - [Cosmic-Inspired Playful Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-collection.md) - [Organic Contour Couch Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/siwa-sofa.md) - [Curved Bed-Inspired Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/velar-sofa.md)
