# Fairytale Seating The Cinderella's Chair by Anna Ter Haar By Meghan Young | Published 2010-02-17 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cinderellas-chair References: [todayandtomorrow.net](http://www.todayandtomorrow.net/2010/02/16/cinderellas-chair/) & [annaterhaar.nl](http://www.annaterhaar.nl/2010/01/cinderellaschair/) Once upon a time there was a glass slipper, and then there was a [glass leg](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zoom-chair) for none other than Cinderella’s Chair. Although, to me it looks more like a reversed pirate’s leg—how clever would a wooden peg leg be on a [wooden chair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slide-table-1)?! Yet the more I look at it, the more I think it is a happily ever after design. Created by Anna Ter Haar, each piece of glass was carefully blown out to fit each Cinderella’s Chair perfectly. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 95% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Glass Furniture:** Creating furniture designs made of glass can be a disruptive innovation opportunity in the furniture industry. - **Novelty Seating:** Introducing innovation in seating style and design can create an innovative market segment in the furniture industry. - **Custom Glass Design:** Offering custom glass design solutions can be a disruptive innovation opportunity in the glass industry. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture:** Incorporating glass as a material in furniture design can be a disruptive innovation opportunity in the furniture industry. - **Glass:** Combining art and engineering to design innovative glass pieces can create a new market segment in the glass industry. - **Design:** Introducing novel, unique and peculiar designs in interior design can create an innovative market segment in the design industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [One-Legged Structural Wooden Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pere-chair.md) - [Ceramic Chess Seating Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chair-chess.md) - [Stainless Steel Reflective Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dream-view-chair.md) - [Suspenseful Statement Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edgeofyr.md) - [Stone Vein-Inspired Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ana-chair.md) - [Red Bottom Premium Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clam-chair.md) - [Artfully Balanced Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halfway-serious.md) - [Cult Film Character-Inspired Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miss-holly.md) - [Historic Dynamic Cane Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charu-chair.md)
