# Skate Bowl Treehouses The Cinder Cone Treehouse Has Its Very Own Skating Bowl By Rahul Kalvapalle | Published 2015-06-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cinder-cone References: [gizmag](http://www.gizmag.com/cinder-cone-treehouse-skate-bowl-washington/38011/) & [thecindercone](http://thecindercone.com/) The Cinder Cone is a treehouse that is unabashedly focused on helping you have an excellent and fun time. This is a multi-platform treehouse that is equipped with its very own [suspension bridge](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/91-cedar-house). As if that weren't cool enough, this treehouse even has its own full-sized skate bowl and a wood-fired hot tub. This indulgent and playful treehouse was developed by writer and photographer Foster Huntington, who started working on it a year ago and completed the project within a year with the help of friends. The treehouse consists of two primary structures attached to Douglas Fir trees using a Garnier limb and a steel bolt -- a setup that ensures minimal damage to the tree. The lower structure is a work space, while the upper structure functions as private sleeping quarters. However the skate bowl has to be the highlight of this fun and modern treehouse. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Treehouse Living:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative and sustainable treehouse designs that provide unique and enjoyable experiences. - **Multifunctional Spaces:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create versatile structures that serve multiple purposes, such as combining a workspace and living area in one. - **Adventure Tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Tap into the growing demand for adventurous and unique accommodations, like treehouses with skate bowls, to cater to the needs of thrill-seeking travelers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Hospitality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate treehouse accommodations with unique features, like skate bowls, to attract adventurous travelers and differentiate from traditional hotels. - **Architecture/design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with builders and architects to create innovative and sustainable treehouse designs that offer exceptional experiences and blend harmoniously with nature. - **Outdoor Recreation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce new recreational concepts that combine outdoor activities, such as skateboarding, with nature-focused accommodations like treehouses, to attract adventure enthusiasts seeking one-of-a-kind experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Contemporary Conservationist Treehouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sylvascope-treehouse.md) - [Modern Rounded Treehouse Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burl-treehouse.md) - [Solar Powered Luxe Treehouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-baltic.md) - [Slatted Steel Treehouse Surroundings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sawmill-treehouse.md) - [Cartoonish Tubular Treehouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tubular-treehouse.md) - [Repurposed Wooden Shoreside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tree-house-by-the-lake.md) - [Nature-Immersive Tranquil Resorts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treehouse-villas.md) - [Treehouse Writing Studios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casetta-tessino.md) - [Elevated Treetop Modern Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buitenverblijf-nest.md)
